Obituary of NORMA SAULT

NORMA SAULT [nee BRANDT] April 9, 1933 - April 28, 2020 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Peacefully Norma passed away at Health Sciences Center after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years Alvin, sons Don and Byron [Cathy], grandchildren Tyler [Brittney], Riley, Jennifer, Jaclyn [Erik], Erin, Taylor [Kevin] and great granddaughter Leona. She also leaves to mourn an extended family and many close friends. Norma was born in Blumenort, Manitoba. She was part of a very large family which included 7 brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was proud of her roots and always made an effort to stay connected. At the age of 21 she moved to Winnipeg, at 23 she met her future husband Alvin in Vita, Manitoba. Norma had a real zest for life, she enjoyed cooking, cards and crafts, especially her jewellery making which she proudly sold at numerous craft shows and flea markets across Manitoba. Norma was a very social person and would engage in conversation with anyone. She was exceptionally kind and open minded, never one to pass judgment on others. In 1970, Norma and Alvin purchased a cottage in Pointe du Bois which was her favourite place to spend time, enjoying fishing and all that cottage life offered. She would look out the window for hours and you could always hear her say "It is so beautiful here". Family was the most important thing to Norma. She was always loving and encouraging. She made her sons believe they could be anything they wanted to be. Her love and support continued with her grandchildren. She never missed a chance to be a part of their lives and attended as many of their activities as possible. You name it and she loved to be there to be a part of it and provide endless encouragement and love. She also has left behind many friends and extended family who she cherished. Thanks to everyone who was a part of Norma's life and spent time with her. A Celebration of life for Norma will be held at a later date.
