ALADAR HOLLOSY
August 9, 1925 – April 13, 2020
Suddenly, but peacefully, Aladar Hollosy passed away on April 13, 2020 at the age of 94. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elizabeth, son Csaba (Cindy), daughter Judy (Alex) and grandchildren Daniel (Michelle), Jessie (Craig), Nick (Christina), Erika, Mark (Diana), sister Elza Schmauzer, a nephew and several nieces.
Aladar was born and raised in Hungary and in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution, Aladar, Elizabeth, Aladar’s brother Beno and his family decided to leave Hungary for a better life in Canada. Settling in Winnipeg, he worked various jobs going back to school to learn the bricklaying trade in which he worked till retirement.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a great provider, a hard worker and was always willing to help his family and friends. His positive outlook on life was very admirable and inspirational. Family was his everything, we will miss him dearly.
Thank you to all the healthcare providers that took such great care of him these last years.
Cremation has taken place and due to COVID-19, a mass will be held at a later date.
