I was very sad to hear the news of your Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother passing. I had the honour of knowing your parents for over 35 years.
I always enjoyed my visits with Eleanor, Mrs Roth, as I liked to call her. I looked forward to our visits and I would always hear the latest family news and would be shown all the latest family photos. She was so very proud of her whole family and all their accomplishments.
She will always hold a special place in my heart.
Deepest condolences to all the family.
Linda Branconnier

Dear Linda, Marge, Roslyn and Melissa and family. We were so sorry to hear about your mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.. Eleanor was a lovely, vibrant and energetic lady. Your mom and dad were wonderful friends and neighbours to my parents Joan and the late Bill Montgomery and to their children. We regarded both your parents as Aunt and Uncle. Together they shared such happy times which lasted over many decades. My mom was always impressed that Eleanor was finished her laundry early in the morning and was out and about. Also my mom was fascinated how Eleanor would have her photos in albums the day after returning from a trip with George. She would send her film home early and it was already processed upon her arrival. ELeanor and Joan kept in contact with hand written letters where each would brag about their family.
Thirty-two years ago Eleanor accompanied me on my wedding day to North Toronto to get my hair done.
With her "nothing is too great an effort" attitude she kept me calm and smiling with her humour and lively banter. Every April i gave Eleanor a call in the last few years as i was assembling my Dad's favourite dessert forever named Eleanor's cheesecake. Not as adept in replicating this cheesecake as my mom Eleanor would give me last minute advice on hand pressing the maraschino cherries. This dessert along with all of Eleanors baking take-out when we left Winnipeg never ceased to impress. We all have such fond memories of Eleanor and George which will never fade. You all have been such a wonderful supportive and loving family . Eleanor will be truly missed.
