Obituary of Edward Walter Senkiw
EDWARD WALTER SENKIW
January 27, 1934 – March 3, 2020
Ed passed away at the Health Sciences Centre.
Ed leaves behind his children Chris Bartlett (Dave Hlady), Blair (Betty) Senkiw, Glen Senkiw, Tami (Don) Agland and their mother Evelyn McMahon; grandchildren Colin and Phoenix Agland.
He was predeceased by his wife Pauline; parents Peter and Jessie; sisters Steffie and Frances.
He loved all things Ukrainian, being from “The North End”. He worked for the City of Winnipeg and retired from CPR, after 28 years.
Sports was his passion – baseball, hockey, football and golf. In 1978-2005 he had thoroughbred horses. Travelling to New Mexico, Phoenix, Canterbury Downs, Chicago and W. Virginia with their horses gave him great pleasure, not to mention the condo in Florida, trips to California and Vegas, with his last trip to Boston, with the Shriners.
Dad was a member of the Hartford Legion and enjoyed winning at the meat draws.
There will be no formal service and a private interment will take place at a later date.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Edward
