Obituary of LINDEN STEVEN OLI OGRODNIK

LINDEN STEVEN OLI OGRODNIK MARCH 15, 1953 - NOVEMBER 7, 2012 Linden Ogrodnik departed gently from his earthly life with his father and sister by his side on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 59 years. Linden was born in Winnipeg and attended Sir Sam Steele, David Thompson, Elmwood High and Tec Voc Schools, danced with McConnell's School of Dancing and was in Sea Cadets. He was artistic, loved music and was a talented guitar player. Linden enjoyed spending summers and holidays at his grandparents homes in Victoria Beach and Beaconia. Linden was caring, kind, sensitive, smart, adventurous, humble, inquisitive, humourous, brave, private, supportive, generous, selfless, grateful, protective and loyal; he loved to joke and laugh and loved his family. Linden is lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his father Steve (Josie), sister Shelley (Rob), companion Gladys (son Kevin), daughter Lisa, grandchildren Jacob and Erica, nieces Sandra and Bradlee, Auntie Jean (Russ), Auntie Ila and their families and numerous cousins and friends. Linden was predeceased by his mother Daisy, brother Barry, nephew Jeffery, both sets of grandparents and many aunties, uncles and cousins. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone in the medical community who have cared for and supported Linden and our family during his illness. As Linden said; "you are angels on earth and beautiful people". Deepest gratitude go out to family and friends for your visits, messages of love, care and concern and offers of assistance. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Victoria Beach Cemetery.
