Obituary of ERMELINDA SOUSA

ERMELINDA SOUSA It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ermelinda Sousa on January 30, 2020 at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 82. She was predeceased by mother Zulmira Da Costa Pinto, father Antonio Luis Maduro, son Leonel Sousa, and daughter Belmira Sousa-Vannevel. She is survived by husband Amandio Sousa, daughter Elsa Sousa (Gordon), son David Sousa, grandchildren Matthew, Brandon, Michael, and Stephen, and many nieces and nephews. Ermelinda was born in Portugal and married Amandio Sousa on December 6, 1958. She had four children. She moved to Canada in May 1971, where she was a homemaker and loved gardening. We will miss you and love you always. Viewing will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, and funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
