She leaves to mourn, her loving husband Paul of 45 years; sons George (Silvia) and Simon; daughter Rosette; Granddaughter Naima and many family and friends around the world. Sonia was predeceased by her mother and father (Helen and Ohannes), brothers (Jack and Joseph) and sisters (Isabel and Anahid) as well as her Uncle and Aunt (Abbott and Marie). Sonia was born in Beirut, Lebanon of Armenian Descent. She enjoyed skiing and bowling in her younger years. She moved to Winnipeg, Canada in 1968 with her family and she married Paul in 1974 where they raised a loving family in the River Heights/Crescentwood area for the last 45 years. She was a stay at home mom who enjoyed baking, dancing, gardening, soap operas (Days of Our Lives) and listening to music (George Michael, Celine Dion, and Pavarotti to name some of her favorites); and enjoyed cheering on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. She was very involved at St. Ignatius Church for many years through groups such as Roses and CWL and made many friends along the way with her warm personality and smile. She was also involved with and volunteered at St. Ignatius School where her kids attended. Sonia was always cheering on her kids during their many sporting events and school activities.
