July 14, 1955 - December 03, 2019

We are profoundly saddened to announce the passing of Joyce Lorraine Carpenter, aged 64 years, on December 03, 2019 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, following a brief illness. Joyce is lovingly remembered by her mother Mildred, daughters Danielle and Carla; sister Betty-Anne (Dennis); brothers Dale (Kathy) and Robert (Heather), nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband James (Jim) and her father Ray.

Born in Swan River, MB to a large extended family, Joyce spent her early years attending school in Durban, Alpine and Benito

Joyce will forever be remembered as a loving and friendly soul, with a smile for all she met. She loved spending time with family and friends, hosting dinners, settling down to a family crib match, and long chats over coffee. Joyce and Jim loved date nights, weekends away and took much joy from the little great-nieces and great-nephews in their life.  An employee of Eaton’s and later Winnipeg Transit, where she met her husband Jim, Joyce loved the comradeship of her co-workers and thrived working with the public.

Cremation has taken place.

Due to Covid, a private family service will take place.
