PEARL JEAN SANNESS
January 9, 1934 – December 3, 2019

With sad hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on December 3, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
Pearl is survived by her daughters, Diane (Larry) Zabinski, Marlene (Nestor) Kiss, and Gail (Ron Kiss) Lerch-Kiss. Brothers, Lorne (Elsie) Clemis, and Don Clemis. Sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Ivan) Pederson, Elaine Sanness; and brother-in-law Hans Peterson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded by her husband Gerald (2002), mother Evelyn (1991), father Ernest (1966), and brother Eddie (1977). Beloved family members that have passed prior to Mom are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marvin, Jim, Pat, Beverly, and Kaz.
Her memory will live on through stories of her life told to her grandchildren: Jason (Agatha), Kimberly (Joey), Brian (Michelle), Adam (Jessica), Kayla (Fritz), Alana (Ryan), and Milyssa Lerch. Great-grandchildren, Michael, Randy, Riley, Shaina, Aylssia, Diana, Shyanne, Gordie, Lila, Kallie, Kaiya, Elliott; and one great-great-grandchild Elliot.

Pearl was born in Somerset, MB, the eldest child of Evelyn and Ernest, where they homesteaded and farmed in her younger years. Her favourite pet was her horse Belle. Mom learnt to play guitar at a young age and then went on and made a record. She moved to Winnipeg to work, where she met her future husband Gerry and corresponded many letters until they married in August 28, 1953.
During her career, Mom was mostly administrative in nature with several jobs such as Eaton's and later Kelly Services. Her knitting needles always ready for a new baby outfit, sweaters or slippers for her family and prided herself on her garden, preserves, and baking dainties, which she taught daughters who wanted to pass on the tradition to their families. Mom and Dad liked travelling and went on several adventures on different continents. They were members of Charleswood Game and Fish, N.K Twirlers Square Dancing Clubs, (which she loved making her outfits), and St. Anne's Reelers Square Dancers.

Special thank you to Dr. George and staff at Grace Hospital, and Judy and nursing staff on 5E at St. Boniface Hospital, to all who treated our mom with respect and dignity while her health was failing.

Mom's honorary pallbearers are Nestor and Brian Kiss, Jason Zabinski, Adam Lerch, Ron Kiss, and Ryan Kolomaya.
