JEANETTE (JEAN) MARIE ORAM

(nee HERIE)

Peacefully on September 26^th, 2019 at Oakview Place surrounded by several family members our sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and great aunt Jean passed away.  She was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Pat, parents Arzelia and Edouard, sisters Lori, Linda and Gisele and her goddaughter and niece Rae.

Jean was born on October 31^st, 1934 in St. Vital MB. and was the first born of 12 children, 8 of whom are still with us today.  In 1955 she married and had four children whom she raised on her own and were the love of her life; Debra (Doug), Patricia (Tony), Michael (Andrea) and Kenneth.  Also missing gramma, are her four grandchildren Terra (Terry), Jordan (Cara), Marc and Jason (Emma) and two great grandchildren August and Noah.   She deeply loved and cared about all her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Jean enjoyed baking and making family and friends smile with a homemade batch of gramma Jean’s popcorn.  She loved to travel, whether it was to visit family or take a trip with siblings.  Jean always enjoyed playing bingo and the occasional trip to the casinos.

Interment will take place in Green Acres Memorial Gardens on Friday Oct. 4 at 11:45 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.  In lieu of flowers, Jean’s family would like you plant a rose bush or perform a random act of kindness in her memory.
