Obituary of CHRISTINA ELIZABETH SMITH
CHRISTINA ELIZABETH SMITH
Christina Elizabeth Smith born on June 25, 2005 has gone to fly with the Angels. She lost a bravely fought battle on July 31, 2019 at the age of 14.
Although her life was cut too short she managed to touch the lives of many. Our beloved, shining and happy little girl was the light of our lives, the star of our hearts and will leave us smiling through our many tears.
She is survived by her parents, Frank and Hayley, older sister Alicia and younger brother Jacob. She also leaves to mourn her maternal grandmother, Deborah and Papa Mike Murphy & paternal grandparents Ruth and Paul Clark.
Christina also leaves to mourn her second mom Denise and her extended family Jason, Breanne, Damien, Matt, Leanne, Aiden and Devin.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather Christopher Jones and paternal grandfather Frank Smith
Christina brought so much love, laughter, and joy to our lives and to all those around her. She had a mischievous sense of humor and a witty smile that captured the hearts of everyone who knew her. She had a love for music and loved to shake her bells for everyone to hear. She will be deeply missed by the many people who knew and loved her.
Special thanks to her paediatrician, her many specialists, therapists, Complex Care Team, Palliative Team, the nurses and staff on CK3, CH3, CH4, & CH5. The family would also like to thank all of her caregivers as well as her previous foster mom, Sally, without whom she would not have enjoyed the many extra years and quality of life that she was privileged to know. Special thanks also goes out to her workers Cindy Murdoch and Tracy Sanderson.
