BEATRIZ CONCEICA RAPOSO GARCIA

On July 26, 2019 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, Beatriz beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 75 years.

Besides her husband José Luis she is survived by two daughters, Fatima (Tina) Garcia-Schimnowski of Winnipeg and Sara Garcia of Calgary, two sons Joe C. Garcia and Rui E. Garcia both of Winnipeg, and three grandchildren Ryan J. Schimnowski, Izabella Garcia-Meyer and Samantha Garcia-Meyer, two brothers Carlos Raposo of Edmonton and Jose Louise Raposo of Winnipeg.

Mom was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal and came to Winnipeg in 1969. She loved her children, cottage, and gardening. She was a great resource of support to many in her community, and was hard working and strong to the very end.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes everyone to honour Mom’s spirit by remembering to love, cherish, and care for one another or donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
