It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helena Sienkiewicz a loving sister, beloved aunt and great-aunt. Helena passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2019 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 90 years.

Helena was predeceased by her husband Edmund and is survived by her sisters Alina Klamer, Barbara Puchalska, her nieces and nephews, Yvonne Hayes (Patrick), Jack Klamer, Yvonne Herr (Brad), Ignacy Zinowko (Barbara), Eric Zinowko (Gosia), and their families.

Helena was born in Bialystok Poland on April 28, 1929 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1958. She worked as a senior seamstress at Monarch Industries and Nygard/Tanjay until her retirement. Helena was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church and involved in many parish groups especially the Rosary Sodality and Radio Maria.  Her favourite pastimes were spending time outdoors blueberry & mushroom picking, gardening, visiting the cottage and following the current events in her beloved homeland. She was a loving great aunt who adored her great-niece & nephews Olivia, Tadeus and Adam Hayes and eagerly awaited their visits.

Prayers will be held on Wednesday June 5 at 7:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father presiding. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Parish Cemetery, 4387 Main St.
