Obituary of ESZTER SERBAN

ESZTER SERBAN On October 13, 2012 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Eszter Serban passed away at the age of eighty eight years. Besides her son, Andrew (Patricia), and two daughters, Violet and Elizabeth (Robert), she is survived by fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Sandor Serban, and siblings residing in Hungary, her place of birth. Beloved Eszter was well known for her unconditional love and generosity towards her family, friends and others, sharing food and stories with whomever shared their time with her. Her love of children benefited the development of many youth under her care. Proud family members will speak of holiday gatherings, where the flavours of her traditional Hungarian dishes endure unparalleled. The family would like to thank the Home Care workers who helped to provide Eszter with independence and dignity in her final years, as well as the exemplary service of the 5 Unit 7 staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Service and reception will be Wednesday, October 17, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
