JOHN MROWKA

January 12, 1948 – April 25, 2019

Peacefully on April 25, 2019 John passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital.

He was predeceased by his parents Stephanus and Rosalia, brothers Stan and Ted.

He is survived by his niece Teresa (Bob) Ralke, nephews Darrell and Greg Mrowka, great niece Robyn Ralke and great nephew Dylan Ralke.

John spent over thirty years working for Winnipeg Transit until retiring in 2005. While he made a couple trips abroad he was a true north end boy frequenting Kelekis Restaurant and his favorite, Oscars Deli. No matter the season, if a game was televised he was giving it his full attention.

A special thanks to his long-time friend Carl Wozney who helped him with errands when John stopped driving years ago.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church,  341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery at later date.
