Obituary of Magdalena (Madge) Broty

Peacefully on April 27, 2019 at the age of 100 years, Madge passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital.

Predeceased by her loving husband Michael, her parents Karl and Magdalena Kleyh, her brothers Charlie (Marilynn), Nick, George (Pat). Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her brother Jack (Jackie), her sister-in-law Dolly and many nieces and nephews. As well as her extended family and cherished friends, Frances Klyne, her children David (JoAnn) Klyne, Patti (Jim) Gunlaugson and Joan Stephen.

Madge was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church where she served in many forms of parish ministry. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Club where she loved to participate in activities such as bowling and bingo. She was also a member of St. John Cantius Seniors Club. Madge was employed by Eaton’s throughout her working career.

Viewing and the Rosary will commence at 9:30 a.m. followed at 10:00 am by the celebration of Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 250 Burrin Avenue with Reverend Dominic Yuen the celebrant. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
