MARTHA BALHARRY

 (MARIE MARTHA LUCILLE BOUSQUET)

August 11, 1927 - April 20, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the age of 91 years surrounded by her family at the Action Margeurite Valade Nursing Home.

Martha is predeceased by her parents Joseph Bousquet and Odile Rivard, her sisters; Elizabeth, Gerry, Theresa, Suzie and Jackie, brothers; Henry and Alex.

She is survived by her loving daughters Debbie (Norm) Tarko, Odele Kaplun, Annette (Perry) Kaserbauer, Peggy Kaplun., her sons Gary Balharry and Gerald Kaplun, and her sister Yvonne Manchulenko. Also missing her are her granddaughters, Melissa, Monique, Jill and Sam, grandsons, Jeffery, Beau-Jason, Jordan, Josh, Quinton, Bobby, James and seven great-grandchildren.

Martha was born in St. Boniface and lived all her life in Winnipeg.  She was a strong, hard-working, caring and loving mother. Martha always made sure her children had everything. She worked for many years at Eaton’s store downtown in Winnipeg.

Martha loved birds especially budgies. She also had a love for elephants and collected many over the years.  Green was her favorite color and could be seen throughout her home. 

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main St. Winnipeg Mb. R2W 3V7

The family would like to thank all the nurses & staff at the Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided to our mother.
