Andrzej (Andy) Merta

September 15,1952 - March 31, 2019

Andrzej Merta known to many as Andy passed away on March 31, 2019.

Andrzej was born in Szczecin, Poland. He grew up in Gorzow Wielkopolski.   Andrzej married his wife Ewa in 1976 and had three children, eldest Krzysztof, Marcin (deceased) and youngest Magda.

Andrzej immigrated to Canada in 1988. His wife Ewa and their three children joined him in 1993.

Andrzej dedicated his time working at Mackow Custom Machine, which became his second family for over 20 years in order to support his family.

Andrzej was a very kind, strong, welcoming and his doors were always open to family and friends.

Andrzej enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and reading books.

A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 6 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
