Dear Annette and family
It’s ironic to be writing you so many years after Leon’s passing. Leon and I were good friends in I.A. at RRCC and during our careers. I started teaching in Beausejour and later moved to Alberta. I loved that guy, and went flying with him, ONCE. He was still learning as we flew around Wpg. The air
Port tower called us asking if we were on approach to runway 1? Leon replied, negative...and then we scrambled to see where we were. We were over St.James...flying to down town. I was glad to have known him as a good friend!

Very sorry for your loss, Leon was my teacher and a friend to many. Such a very nice person and I remember how much he loved his son Brent, he hired me to babysit for a while when he was young. Later in the years we met up at a night club and again just such a friendly warm person is what I remember. Great memories which I hold fondly.

We send our heartfelt condolences in the loss of such a beautiful soul. Leon was a man who left a lasting impression and his goodness shone through. He was witty and so enjoyable to spend time with. The hardest lesson in life is loss, but to know great love is to one day know great loss. Most would still choose to walk down the same path to have that person in their life. May the memories he created with you bring you peace and solace as his journey continues.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I was one of Leon's Assistant Store Managers at the St.Vital Homedepot. HE was a great mentor/ father figure to many and always willing to share his vast knowledge of tools to anyone . Always friendly to everyone and loved to talk to me about his canoe he made with his son, his garden ,and trips with his wife. He will be missed by many!!!
With my deepest sympathy,
Darren Cesmystruk

Mr. Beauchamp was my industrial arts teacher when I attended Elmwood High School in the mid 1970s. He was a great teacher and an excellent mechanic. He always taught as if you were on his level. The lessons I learned from him have served me well over the years. A very respectful man. I have many great memories of him. I often thought of him through the years.
I was saddened to read of his passing.
Bob Ezinicki former student.

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to someone who was a huge part of my life for 16+ years. I moved to Winnipeg from BC in 2003 to share a life with Leon. His passion for travel took us on many wonderful and memorable trips during those years, through the US, all across Canada as well as many trips back to BC to visit with my family. Together we spent five winters in BC house sitting to get away from the harsh winters in MB. He drove me to every corner of Manitoba showing me his beloved province, introducing me to fall suppers, another of his passions…and mine! After 13 years in Winnipeg, I moved back to BC to be with family, but Leon just couldn’t bring himself to leave his home. Although we weren’t living together for the past couple of years, we stayed in constant touch. I and my family will miss him and remember him with love and especially his grandson Tristan, who he adored. He spent countless hours with Tristan, taking him fishing, never missed his hockey games or any other sports he played, they did science experiments together….they loved each other.
Remembered with love by Sylvia, Teresa, Troy, Kumi & Tristan
