Franklin Paul Pitura
Franklin Paul Pitura passed away peacefully in his sleep February 16, 2019 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 75. The beloved husband, father and grandfather is survived by his wife Evelyn, sons Paul (Lisa) and Darren (Shannan Calcutt), and grandchildren Ella and Julian. He also leaves behind his sister Barbara Norton (Ken), sisters-in-law Marlene Graceffo (Greg), Cona Maughan (Doug), Norma Vanderkerkhove (Dennis), brother-in-law Allen Diehl (Beth), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Frank was a farmer, an agronomist, and a provincial government minister and MLA for the Morris constituency. Frank will best be remembered for his friendly demeanour and supportive nature. He treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. He was a wonderful, loving father, grandfather, husband and friend. Frank’s humour and generous heart will be greatly missed.
A memorial will take place February 23 at 1 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, friends can make a donation to the charity of their choice.
