Obituary of SISTER CÉCILE FONTAINE, M.O.

                                                          S. Cécile Fontaine

Lundi, le 26 novembre 2018 S. Cécile Fontaine fit son entrée à la maison du Père à l’âge de 83 ans.  Elle était membre de la Congrégation des Missionnaires Oblates de Saint-Boniface depuis 61 ans.

Cécile naquit à St-Georges, au MB, le 24 mai 1935. Son père, Omer Fontaine, était natif de Gravelbourg, SK, et sa mère, Diana Wilcott, était native de Cantal, SK.

Elle a été précédée dans la mort par ses parents, ses frères Gérard et Roger, une belle-soeur Evelyne Tardiff et un beau-frère Robert Gagné.

Cécile laisse dans le deuil les membres de la congrégation des Missionnaires Oblates de St-Boniface, ses frères et belles-soeurs, Oscar (Mary Sobolewski), Léo (Patricia Madill), Roland (Olive Pelland), Armand, (Lucie Rivèra), Edgar (Marie Rivèra), Robert.  Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses soeurs, Yvonne Fontaine et Lorraine Gagné, ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami.e.s.

Les prières seront mardi, le 4 décembre 2018 à 10 h à la chapelle de Villa Aulneau, 601 rue Aulneau, Winnipeg, MB.   Les funérailles seront célébrées le même jour au même endroit à 13 h 30. L’Abbé Fernand Desjardins présidera la célébration.

L'inhumation des cendres aura lieu au Cimetière St-Boniface de la rue Archibald vendredi, le 7 décembre 2018 à 11h00.

Sister Cécile Fontaine passed away at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 83.  She was a member of the religious Congregation of the Missionary Oblate Sisters of St. Boniface for 61 years.

She was born in St. Georges, MB on May 24, 1935.  Her father, Omer Fontaine was from Gravelbourg, SK and her mother, Diana Wilcott from Cantal, SK.   

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Gérard and Roger, a sister-in-law Evelyne Tardiff and a brother-in-law Robert Gagné.

Cécile leaves to mourn her passing the members of the congregation of the Missionary Oblate Sisters of St. Boniface, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Oscar (Mary Sobolewski), Léo (Patricia Madill), Roland (Olive Pelland), Armand, (Lucie Rivèra), Edgar (Marie Rivèra), and Robert.  She also leaves to mourn her passing her sisters, Yvonne Fontaine and Lorraine Gagné, along with many nephews, nieces and friends.

Prayers are on Tuesday, December 4^th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Villa Aulneau, 601 Aulneau, Winnipeg, MB. Mass of the Resurrection will follow on the same day at the same address at 1:30 p.m.  Father Fernand Desjardins will preside the celebration.  Interment of the ashes will take place on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald Street.   Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
