It is was with deep sorrow and sadness and with great hope in the promises of Christ that we the family announce the passing of Elizabeth Weselowski who was taken by the our Lord on Tuesday November 20, 2018
Leaving to forever cherish her memory is her sister Vicki Pasternak (Allan, SK), nieces Debbie Hernandez, Val McLeod, Belinda Crorey, and Bernadette Weselowski. Nephews, Randy Pasternak, Brian Weselowski, Jeff Pasternak and Clayton Weselowski. 14 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great niece and nephew. Along with cousins, and friends (special friends Janet & Columb Cryan).
Predeceased by her father Alexander 1981, mother Anastasia 1978, brother Emil 2013, brother Leonard 2001, nephews Greg and Timothy 2018. As well as numerous family members.
Elizabeth was born in Sifton, Manitoba on July 16, 1938. Where she spent most of her younger years attending school, and later moving to Winnipeg. She worked for The Civil Service Superannuation Board. She enjoyed making memories through travelling, giving to others and being part of the church community. Upon retirement, she devoted her life to the church on various committees. She was involved in UWCL, prayer group, enjoyed making perogies, and enjoyed baking for the church perogy dinners. She was devoted to her church attending mass every Friday & Sunday until the time of death.
She was a loving caring person who will be sadly missed.
Both services will be celebrated at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave, Winnipeg: Prayers on Wednesday November 28 at 7:00 p.m.; the funeral Divine Liturgy on Thursday November 29 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Mostivsky officiating. Interment will be in Transcona Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church 1001 Grant Ave, Winnipeg, MB. R3N 1Y3.
