Obituary of DRAGICA DRAZIC

DRAGICA DRAZIC

Peacefully, surrounded  with the love of her family, Dragica Drazic; Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother (Baba) passed away November 3, 2018 at the age of 89, 2 days shy of her 90th birthday.  Baba was born in Mileticevo, Yugoslavia on November 5, 1928.  She was predeceased by her Husband Milan Drazic, her parents Milica and Gavro and brothers Milan and Sava.  Left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Barbara (Mirko) Zubin, Dusan (Grace) Drazic and Mary (Dragan) Gagic.  Grandchildren; Carmen (Steve), Marcia (Paolo), Susan (Mike), Peter (Erin), Mikki (Melanie), Marko (Kristin) and Filip.  Great Grandchildren; James, Luca, Jackson, Max, Jake, Kate, Alexander and Mia.  Sisters in Law, Nevenka Drazic, Petra Drazic, Danica Mandic and their families.

In September of 1968 along with her husband, she took the journey to Canada seeking a better life for their three children and joining her husband’s family.

Baba enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Beaconia Beach where many fond memories, great stories and good times will always be remembered and cherished by us all.  She loved her garden, flowers, watching her grandchildren’s sporting and music events.  Baba cherished her time spent with family, ensuring family traditions were fulfilled especially during the holidays.  Baba will always be remembered for the delicious meals she prepared for us with love and her special Vanilla Jam Cookies.

Baba’s own health was not without challenge and complications throughout her life.  Through this, she was always happy, optimistic and her strength and fight was that of a Superwoman!

The family is extremely grateful to Cathedrale Manor, her residence for the past 7 years and the HSC Staff the past 3 weeks for their respectful and gentle care of our Baba.

A private service was held on November 9, 2018.

Baba, may you have eternal peace as you keep a faithful watch over all of us.  Never Forgotten and forever in our hearts.  We Love You.
