There are not enough words to share, to express the vast depth of loss in this tragedy.
As an employee of MCC, I have had the pleasure of working with Anita. As a mother myself, I can not fathom the heartache that Anita and her family are experiencing during this time in their lives.
I want to send my love and prayers to my dear co worker and her family. I pray that as each day passes, Anita and her family experience some peace, that they are able to reflect on happy memories and feel blessed that these two lovely souls were in their lives, even as briefly as Anita's daughter was.
There is grief for this tragedy, grief for the loss of these two family members, grief for the lost future, the dreams and aspirations that were talked about but will forever be frozen in time.
I believe we can only truly honor our passed loved ones by living our own life as fully and passionately as we can, being kind to ourselves, forgiving ourselves for our past and living in the present moment, which is all we have. I pray that you and your family Anita will be able to "live" again, forever changed, but find a way to carry on. There will never be a way to make sense of what has happened. Know that you are loved and thought of often. Anita, to you, I send my love and hugs, will always have a listening ear for you anytime. Deb Austin
