TINA NIZNOWSKI
Peacefully on Monday, November 5th, 2018, Tina passed away into the arms of our Lord.
She is survived by her sister Stella (Frank) Sitko and her brother Walter (Sonia) Maydaniuk, sisters-in-law Lesia Niznowski, Joyce Niznowski, brother-in-law Ed Pratt, and many nieces and nephews.
Tina was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Cora (Topolnisky) as well as her siblings Anne, Jean, Frank and Peter.
Tina was born at Zaporoza, Manitoba in 1930. Due to an early childhood injury, she faced a life filled with physical challenges. She persevered with tenacious determination through illness and disability.
She volunteered countless hours at the Health Sciences Centre, earning many awards recognizing her commitment and effort.
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her smiles and chats. She loved everyone’s visits and especially looked forward to seeing her faithful and cherished friend, Eleanor.
Tina resided at Deer Lodge Centre for 20 years. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caring and compassionate staff from Towers 5 and 7, namely Dr. J. Alexy, Karen, Carolyn, Mary Lou, Nicole, Shannon, Tom, Binta, Vanessa and many others.
Prayers will be said on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg with Fr. Eric Giddins officiating. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Olha, Manitoba with Fr. Mykhaylo Khomitskyy presiding. Interment to follow.
Pallbearers will be Glen Niznowski, Daryl Drozda, Arden Madill, Florence Sitko, Raymond Sitko, and Wendell Kolsun.
