Dearest Verna,
First of all ---our very deepest sympathies !
We just heard from family about Peter's passing, we are shocked and saddened as we were not aware of his heath issues over the years, since we have not connected all these years. I [ Luba ] recall all the good times we had in our youth with Peter and you, Verna. Where have all those years gone ? Peter was special to many of us, he will be sadly missed by you, Verna and your family, we will light a candle and include him and all your family in our prayers
at our church here in Niagara--Grant eternal rest Peter.
Murray & Luba [ Happychuk ] Beange

So sorry for your lose, Verna and family. We still talk about the times we spent evenings playing cards. Those were good times with good memories.

I had the greatest of times with Pete, especially sneaking home “the back way” from the Festival du Voyaguer Beard growing contests, where Pete was a fierce but fun competitor. RIP, yuctum boogie woogie

My sincerest condolences. My remembrances of Peter are from the years when Sadok Veselka Daycare was in the basement of St. Michael's Church on Disraeli Street. He was the person we called if we needed something fixed. He always brought his smile and his sense of humour with him; and, he always had a story to tell which always included lots of infectious laughter. My fondness for him grew when I found out he was related to a school friend from my home town. Rest in Peace, dear Peter. The church and community have lost a treasure.
