Obituary of ZOFIA LUTRZYKOWSKI
ZOFIA LUTRZYKOWSKI
August 18, 1930 – October 24, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Zofia on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Leon, to whom she was married for 49 years. Loving mother of John (Krystyna) and Kaz (Lucy). Proud grandmother of Jennifer, Angela (Chris), Alana (Ryan), Ashley (Adam) and great grandmother of Fiona.
Predeceased by her parents Anna and Stanislaw, her sisters, Stanislawa and Jadwiga; and brother Ludwik.
Zofia was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1961 with her family. After immigrating to Canada, Zofia was employed by Winnipeg Drapery where she worked for 40 years. Zofia took pride and was very meticulous in taking care of her home. After retirement she was able to spend more time gardening and cooking. No one ever left her house hungry as she always insisted you had to eat before leaving.
She was a devout Catholic and a long member of Holy Ghost Church. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Poland.
Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
