OSCAR JESMER

September 13, 1943 - September 22, 2018

With family close by his side, our beloved father passed away, in the early hours on Saturday September 22, 2018. He was born in Deer Lake Ontario, grew up in Red Lake and moved to Winnipeg for the later part of his life. During his youth he was very athletic; he dominated in track and field, and excelled at hockey.

Oscar was predeceased by his parents Donald (Jesmer) and Clara (Meekis), his two sons Donald and Andrew who I am sure were waiting for him with open arms. They are the lucky ones now as they have our father and he will forever be in our hearts and the memories we had will live on forever.

Oscar is survived by his children Darlene (Rob), Gordon, Sharon (Stephen). Also his sister’s Marieanne (Richard), Shirley, Helen, Rose, Maxine and his brother’s Donald and Walter. Oscar is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. May his memory live on in each and every one of us.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
