Today I'm missing you more than yesterday; which I didn't think was possible because yesterday I missed you a great deal. I replay six Monday's ago in my head over and over; thinking about how many times you mentioned the kids, how you stressed that summer was short and to be sure that they enjoyed every minute of it. I remember saying sorry to you for booking our trip and not being scheduled to return till the day after your birthday, but you reassuring me that you would take your black forest cake upon our return.
I love you so much mom, and as I continue to mourn the fact that you are not here with me in body, I'm not mourning as one with no hope but hopeful for the day I get to see you again.

Aunty Monica, your impeccable memory was astounding when we couldn't remember a number you rattled it off no problem or when i needed to find a bible reference you knew just where to find it. You gathered us to the table for those nights of devotion and you appreciated just the simple time we read the daily bread and our bibles together. Always ask "what did you get from this?" Made me to always look for more in God's word. I remember the last thing we shared was some red mango, after sunday supper and boy did we have a good laugh as we joked around about you missing me when i go to toronto and i told you i would miss you too. Had no idea i would have to miss you this long. Woman of God it was great to call you Aunty, i love you.

Sister MONICA you left me lots of memories, words can not express the good memories you’ve left with me...all the happy times. You’ve gone before me and I shall meet you one sweet day where we will all be together dancing on the streets of gold having a grand time. I will miss our conversations, how we would make each other laugh and of course your sweet bread. Our trips to Calgary will not be the same without you. I’ve known you for over 30 years, we took bible study at waves of glory together with Pastor Mason.
