ADOLPH (AUDIE) STUPAK

JANUARY 26, 1941 – JUNE 19, 2018

It is with sincere deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of my Dad and Grandpa. Dad passed away with family by his side at Seven Oaks Hospital on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

Dad was predeceased by his infant sister Adeline (1937), dad Mike (1986), daughter Debbie Chubinski (2003), mom Annie (2005), and brother Ron (2009).

Remaining to cherish his memory are his daughter Angela Stupak (Russ), granddaughter Amber Neufeld (Corey), sweetheart Jadzia Solarczyk, brother Alvin (Beverley), nieces Cheryl (Alf Weber), Wendy (Barry Fadden), grand-nieces and grand-nephews Drew Weber, Rachel Weber, Courtney Fadden, Wyatt Fadden, Madison Fadden and his sweetheart’s children, Diane (Bert), Andy (Leslie), and Johnny (Meghan) and all their children.

Dad was born in Brokenhead, Manitoba on January 26, 1941. During the flood of 1950 his family moved to Winnipeg. His first job was at MTS (1960-1967) promoted every 6 months and ended as an Assistant Payroll Supervisor. He then was hired at Bristol Aerospace in November 1967 as a Payroll Supervisor for 5 years while taking night school to become a Computer Programmer Analyst. He was a Computer Programmer Analyst for 5 years and later promoted to Supervisor of Computer Operations looking after IBM all main frame computers, personal computers, printers, and company time clock. That position changed to Manager and they added CN/CP computer from McDonald Douglas. He retired February 1, 1995.

He was part of the AFCOM – Association for Computer Operations and he took many work course related trips, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Dallas Texas, and Fort Lauderdale. He enjoyed travelling, the first trip being to Poland, Disneyland, Disney World, Florida, Vegas, Dollywood (Ladies remember to not wear dark underwear under white clothes especially when taking water rides), Memphis, Elvis Presley’s Mansion, Victoria Island, Radium Hot Springs , Banff, Calgary, Minneapolis,  and numerous trips to various casinos, his favourite being McPhillips Street Station.

He enjoyed playing cards (girls against the boys), bingo, and cribbage. He liked to curl and golf and he enjoyed competitive speed skating where he won 1st place at Hugh John McDonald. He enjoyed betting on horse races when Uncle Ron was still alive.

A very huge thank you to Dr. Bialy for his help, consideration, kindness, and courtesty for looking after Dad as his physician and even more at Seven Oaks Hospital for going far beyond the call of duty with all arrangements you made for Dad with CancerCare and Palliative Care since you had such a short time frame to work with. A huge and big thank you to all the Nurses and Health Care Aides from Seven Oaks 5th floor, Unit 3, for your exemplary care of Dad from June 5 until his passing on June 19. Dad did not want to leave Seven Oaks Hospital because of the good meals, but especially the love and care he received by all staff at Seven Oaks Hospital.

All of Dad’s dying wishes we accomplished during his last week, which included a very fast shopping trip with Jadzia and Angela and watching a spectacular fireworks show from his house that he could watch from his hospital room.

Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 24 at 6:00p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:00AM at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.

Daddy would like to say a special message, “Thank you to all who I have known as friends and associates. I thank you all for everything you have done for me and contributed to make my life so much more enjoyable. I would appreciate if you all wore summer attire and comfortable clothing to my prayers and funeral and not the traditional black. Don’t cry for me. I’m going to a better place without pain or suffering or tears. I’m going to be with Debbie (Zaz), mom and dad, and Ron.”

“Don’t cry for me because I’m going to a better place”
