Obituary of ERNEST NELSON

Ernest Nelson (Nacinovich)

March 4, 1937-June 14, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernie, after a brief battle with lung cancer he passed in the comfort of his home on Thursday, June 14, 2018, with family. He will be deeply missed by many friends and family who loved and cared for him greatly. He now joins his father Matteo Nacinovich, his mother Ruby Bieber, and brother Roger Nacinovich. Ernie is survived by his sister Lorraine Kozak, children and grandchildren, Bonnie (Jennifer(Tara), Rodney, Jasmin, Matthew, Sebastian), Gary Nelson, Matt Nelson (Josh, Melissa, Ashley), Jamie-lee Nelson(David)(Miley, Cayla, Conner), and his niece Donna Alcock. Ernie always said he would fly with the eagles one day and now he is. We miss and love you so very much.

Ernie a retired self contractor raised in East Braintree, Manitoba was a man known to give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He was always known to be working on some project or another. Ernie took great pride in his home and garden and would spend countless hours working on it. He found passion working as a self contractor for over 30 years, and will be greatly missed by many of his clients. His goal was to always make sure that he left his client smiling & laughing and took pride in every job he did. He spent the latter years of his life keeping busy and figuring out ways he can make things bigger and better. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren whether it be playing or just watching they made him so proud. He could spend hours talking to you about his time growing up in East Braintree, his younger and older days. He never turned his back to a friend in need and would always be there to lend a helping hand or shoulder to cry on.

After being diagnosed in 2016 with lung cancer it never stopped him. A stubborn man who continued to do what he could do without a doubt in his mind. He proudly kept on keeping busy with things of all sorts never letting anything stop him. Never allowing a negative thought or negative circumstances change his mood he kept on without a complaint.  A wise man who loved all with no regrets he will be deeply missed by many whom he has helped over the years.

Ernie was a man who wanted nothing but the best for his family, raising his youngest daughter solely at the age of 50, working a full time job and creating a home was not an easy task, but he took it on without complaints any only in his heart I will miss you very much Dad. He spent the last months talking about his childhood, or younger years. He never had a regret and he knew that his time would be coming sooner or later and expressed that he was ready to go and be with his family he has been missing dearly. Forever gone but never forgotten we will continue to live on the legacy of your generous and loving soul Dad & Grandpa!

"For when you see an eagle fly above just know I will be there watching and guiding you" a comment he made not only a few months ago. He loved wildlife and the outdoors, now he is able to be free. An angel gained their wings.
