GIL ARTUR TAVARES

May 4, 1965 – May 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle Gil Artur Tavares at the age of 53 years.

Gil will be remembered by his mother Maria; brothers, Humberto and Ernest; sister Grace (Brian); niece Brittany and nephew Trevor.  He was predeceased by his father Jose Sr. and brother Francisco.

Gil’s passions were soccer and music.

The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre and Riverview Health Centre.

There will be a private interment of his cremated remains.  His final resting place will be with his beloved father and brother.

In lieu of flowers, donations, in Gil’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Winnipeg.
