I saw Jan's obituary in the Saturday Free Press and wanted to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of loss.
I am retired now, but worked as an R.N. on 2 East. I remember the day Jan was admitted to our unit l as I was the nurse who was assigned to do his admission. You and your sons were so faithful in coming to see Jan and diligent in caring for him. I wish you comfort as you grieve. I find it comforting when I think of my parents, who are both deceased now, that they no longer have to live with the limitations and pain of their conditions. I imagine you may also feel that way about Jan. I pray you will be comforted by the love and care of family and friends as you adjust to life without Jan.
