Sincere condolences from us both. We have known Bob ( and his lovely wife Ruth until her passing) for numerous year as neighbours at Appleton. Bob was a modest and unassuming person who had a most interesting and creative life of which you only occasionally got minor glimpses in passing. His supervision and building of one of the last remaining wooden grain elevators in Inglis manitoba (National Historic Site) we discovered by accident when talking about some photographs I happened to take there. Characteristically he would chuckle and shrug off such accomplishments if not pressed. We always were pleased in later years to visit in passing and missed many elevators together as we caught up. He was an articulate, well informed, gentle and somewhat stoic man with humorous insights that were well thought out and perceptive. We were very sorry when he finally gave up his residence here last year and will remember him with warmth and respect for the man he was and for his rich life-journey!
