Obituary of HEIDI (JADWIGA) BURZYNSKI
HEIDI BURZYNSKI
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Heidi (Jadwiga) Burzynski on January 27, 2018.
Heidi was born in Chociw, Poland on January 9, 1924. She was predeceased by husband Ted, her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family: daughter Barbara (George) and son Ted; grandchildren Karen (Tom) and Paul (Christine) and great grandchildren Matthew, Miranda, Daniel and Olivia.
During the War in Europe, Mom was faced with tragedy and struggles at an early age. In 1949 she immigrated to Canada, settled in Atikokan, Ontario and later came to Winnipeg. She possessed an inner strength that got her through many of life’s challenges and hardships and she worked hard all her life.
Her plants and garden were a labour of love and her meals were legendary. Mom also enjoyed their trailer at Spruce Sands for over 35 years.
Her memory and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever. Her strength of character, kindness and love of life will be missed.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to each of the staff of Park Manor Personal Care Home for the care that was given to Mom with such kindness and respect.
In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation in Mom’s memory to a charity of choice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke Street, Transcona on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Viewing/Prayers at 9:00 a.m.
