EDWARD POWAZKA

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ed on January 26, 2018 surrounded by his family at his residence at the age of 62 years.

Ed is survived by his wife Krystyna; son Grzegorz (Amanda) and Tomasz; granddaughter Jailyn; mother Zofia; sisters Urszula and Irena.

He was predeceased by his father.

Ed and his family arrived in Winnipeg following a snow storm on Friday, December 13, 1991 and he was honoured to receive his Canadian Citizenship. He worked for 21 years at Monarch Industries with perfect attendance. Ed was first and foremost a family man and enjoyed fishing and spending time in his garden.

Ed accomplished his goal of building their family home in East St. Paul (2000). Many of Ed’s dreams will remain unfulfilled due to his illness and his passing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave.  Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
