VICTOR PATRICK PARKE

Victor Patrick Parke, age 68, went home to be with our father the evening of January 5, 2018 with his loving family by his side in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Victor was born on March 13, 1949 in Pine Falls, Manitoba to Victor and Joan Parke. Victor grew up on the Homestead in Thalberg, Manitoba. He is predeceased by his Father Victor and Mother Joan (Worrall ); and brother Eugene Parke. Victor will be forever remembered by his loving wife Barbara; his son Darcy (Carol-Lynn); daughter Paula (Cory); and daughter Lori (Dave); and his grandchildren, Cory, Cole, Abigail, Carter, Benjamin, William and Brady.  His siblings, Jeff, Walter, Peter, Dennis, Cristopher, Pamela, Patricia and Paul; and many nieces and nephews.

In 1968, Victor met Barbara and married in 1971. They were lovingly married for 46 years. Victor worked for various construction companies throughout his career. He received his carpenter’s apprentice and went on to a job site Forman with Malcom Construction and continued on as Project Manager with Parkwest Projects where he retired in 2011. Victor had many passions in his life, his family, the outdoors (hunting, fishing, golfing) and his work.

He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

 In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Prayers will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12 also at Cropo at 9:30 a.m.  Interment to follow in Gull Lake Cemetery.
