MARIA DA GLORIA FURTADO

April 4, 1934 – January 2, 2018

Gloria passed away at Calvary Place Personal Care Home at the age of 83 years.

She was born in Azores and was predeceased by her parents Jacinto Furtado Verissimo and Margarida da Luz Duarte, and her husband Joao Almeida Frizado. Glorias memory will be forever cherished by her daughter Lucia Frizado and son Joao (Jacqueline) Frizado and two grandsons Victor Medeiros and Eric Frizado. She is survived by her sisters , Margarida (Francisco) Raposo in Winnipeg, Deolinda Duarte in Azores, Escolastica (Jose) Furtado, Rosalina (Jose) Cabral , and Genevieve (Joao) Furtado, all from London, Ontario, and several nieces and nephews, and family friends both in Canada and Azores.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. with visitation at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery at 3990 Portage Ave.

Gloria was faithful in prayer and in lieu of flowers would appreciate donations to the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in her memory.
