CECILIA BRYZGORNIA

With deep sadness, I announce, that on November, Tuesday 7th. 2017 at 2300hs, Cecilia Bryzgornia, (92yo), passed away in peace, surrounded by the dedicated and  friendly staff of the West Park Manor, Personal Care Home. Cecilia spent there last 8 years of her life.
Cecilia must have been one of the last living survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp. She was swept off the streets of Gostkow, Poland, during the years of the Nazi occupation (May 31st.1943). After the WWII she was rescued by Aliants, taken to transition camps on the territories of Germany, there, she met her future husband, Stanislaw, who predeceased her in 2012, about fifty years after immigrating together to Canada in 1956.
I am forever grateful to the Staff of the Park West Personal Care Home for their compassion and dedication they showed, caring for Cecilia.  It made my work as a POA, much easier, knowing that Cecilia is well cared for every day and night. I will not list any names of the good people, involved in her care, out of fear that I would miss someone who made important contribution to her wellbeing.

On Nov 18th.  at 1000 AM, the Mass will take place in Holy Ghost Church on Selkirk Ave. followed by interment in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Attendees are invited for a small reception in Holy Ghost Ballroom after the burial.
