Obituary of PHILLIP KWIATKOWSKI
Phillip Kwiatkowski
With great sadness we announce the passing of Phillip, on October 29, 2017 at Seven Oaks Hospital, surrounded by his family at the age of 90.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife Ann of 60 years; daughter Donna (Ken), sons Richard (Svitlana) and Robert, grandchildren Landon, Jason, Matthew and Nadia, sister Jean and his nephew Terry (Debbie). He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary; brother William, sister Ann, nephew Zennon, and his grandson Ryan.
Phillip was born on May 2, 1927 in Elphinstone, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg where he met and married his wife Ann in 1957. He was employed with Winnipeg Transit as a Bus Operator for 33 years until his retirement in 1989.
Dad was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends sharing his stories. He was a great storyteller and had an amazing memory for details. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially visits with his grandchildren. His greatest pleasure in life was the many years spent with his family at the cottage in Lake of the Woods.
Thank you to the staff on the 5th floor Unit 6 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phillip’s name to either Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of MB.
