VALDOMIRA P. TAVARES

1927 – 2017

Peacefully with her family at her side, Mom passed away at St. Joseph’s Residence on Thursday, September 28, 2017 just shy of her 90th birthday.

Mom was predeceased by our dad Eduardo in 2012. Left to cherish her memories are; son Carlos (Rosie), daughter Anabela (John) and grandchildren Amanda, Colleen, Cole and Nash.

Valdomira was born in Sao Pedro, Ponta Delgada, Azores. She immigrated to Canada with her husband and two children in June 1970.

Mom was a fantastic cook. We always looked forward to our Sunday dinner gatherings. She was always a very generous, loving Mom and Grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
