JUNE GERTRUDE MARIE WEEDMARK

(nee MCDOUGALL)

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, June on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 76 years.

Predeceased by her husband Ed in 1997; daughter Theresa Fedick; and her sisters, Lorette Decoste and Shirley Bousquet.  June is survived by her one son Ed (Rebecca) of Overland Park, Kansas, Cheryl Decoste, Alice Chapdelaine (Tony) and Cathy all of Winnipeg.  She will also be lovingly remembered by her six grandsons and four granddaughters, as well as, her eight great-grandchildren.  She is survived by brother Allan McDougall of Winnipeg; sisters, Lorraine DuBois of Beinfait, SK, Theresa Campbell of Edmonton, AB; and son-in-law Robert Fedick of Winnipeg.  Mom will also be deeply missed by her aunt and close companion Stella Bakeman of Winnipeg.

June was born in 1941 in St. Norbert, MB to parents, Alexander and Alice.  She grew up on the farm before moving to Winnipeg where she met and married the love of her life, Ed.

Mom will be remembered by her kind and generous nature.  She would help anyone in need.  Mom enjoyed bingo, finding bargains at the Thrift Store and she recently took up looming.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the MICU Ward at H.S.C. for their kindness and compassion during her stay.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at 1:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
