Mildred Anna Ruml
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mildred at her residence on August 15, 2017 at the age of 82 years. She was born and raised in East St Paul, Manitoba. Mildred is predeceased by her parents, Wenceslas and Anna, brothers, John (Myrle), Frank (Joyce) and William (Anne), sisters-in-law, Janet (Edward), Myrle (John) and Anne (William) and brother-in-law Daniel Fowler (Agnes) and nephew Tom Ruml. She is survived by her brothers Edward and James (Denise), sister Agnes Fowler, sister-in-law Joyce Denoon, many nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA and numerous Sellner cousins.
Mildred (Millie) was employed by the Canadian Wheat Board for many years until her retirement developing some close long term friendships. Keeping the family “in touch” was very important to her and she was at the centre of all family celebrations and activities. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. As a devoted lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Church, she served on numerous church ministries, most recently tirelessly visiting the sick and shut-ins bringing joy to many people. Rest in peace Mildred, you will be missed and fondly remembered.
A Funeral Mass will be held August 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, corner of Munroe Ave. and Brazier St. in Winnipeg, MB. Mildred supported many worthwhile charities so in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice or to the St. Alphonsus Building Fund Project.
