Obituary of HECTOR GATIEN
HECTOR ROMEO GATIEN
August 27, 1926 – August 10, 2012
With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Hector.
Hector is survived by his children, Paul (Jennifer), Chris (Jeannie), Jos (Brenda), Margaret (Gary) and Patrice (Mario), six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Born in Timmins, Ontario, Hector was married to wife Josie (nee Vickers) on July 2, 1949 and they shared 63 years of marriage. He served fourteen years in the army where he was a sergeant in Signal Corps. He also worked for Canadian Tire, Merchants Consolidated and Corps. of Commissionaires.
Dad’s greatest loves were his wife and family. Of them he could not be more proud. His interests included crosswords, dancing, walking, South Beach and horse racing. He worked hard, embraced life, laughed heartily, easily and often.
Special thanks to the 3E staff at Concordia Hospital and Dr. Anne Kong.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations in Hector’s memory may be made to Siloam Mission.
