I connected with Uncle Fran through the internet 10 years ago. Uncle Fran is a first degree cousin of my father Jorge Venturina (deceased) from San Rafael, Bulacan. We are very sorry to hear that he passed away. From my uncle Romeo Venturina (Philippines) and my family in Baltimore MD, our thoughts and prayers to your family.

I genuinely regret your loss. I hope that in due time your family receives God’s peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. God is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation. Rest assured that God cares for all his creatures and he would never bring us suffering. A soothing scripture I like is Psalm 34:18 which reads: "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." He promised that in the Paradise, we will have the prospect of enjoying life without end, free from all problems, accidents, and sickness. Even our dead loved ones like Francisco will be resurrected. (Psalm 37:9, 29; John 5:28, 29) With all my sympathy for the loss of someone so dear.

Fran and I were work neighbours at The Winnipeg Clinic for the last five years. So, I heard the laughter and happiness next door while he undertook his interventions and regularly viewed the warmth with which he related to his clients. Fran seemed always to be doing something for someone else: before his wife passed he packed home a daily Winnipeg Clinic lunch for her, regularly brought in food and treats for the Clinic staff and never missed a chance to inquire into the goings-on with my family. Fran was very interested in medicine and inquired often as to the diagnosis and treatment of specific Urology problems, often with some very anonymous friend's Urology care in mind, and he never failed to provide me with the follow-up information to my so-related inquiries. At the end, it was clear that Fran had grown treatment-intolerant. Nonetheless, he undertook them and he smiled and remained dignified through it all and up until my last hospital visit with him.
Fran was a fine person and we will all miss him, greatly, and I offer my condolences to the Violago family.
