Obituary of DIANE BARBARA BYCHUK
DIANE BARBARA BYCHUK
May 18, 1949 - May 15, 2017
On Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care, Diane, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away at the age of 67 years.
Besides her husband of 48 years,Paul Bychuk, Diane will be sadly missed by her daughters Diane Lynn Bychuk of Winnipeg, Cindy Shewchook (Tom) of Winnipeg and Tammy Pynn (Jonny) of Calgary, AB, grandchildren Alexa, Jessica, Jacquelyn and Justin, great-granddaughter Ava, sister Debbie (Roger) and nieces Christy and Courtney and their children. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Audrey Whiteford.
Diane had a passion for cooking, baking, knitting blankets, especially baby blankets, doing latch hook and coloring. Even during the times she was not able to enjoy her own cooking/baking, she made sure everyone else did, her perogies, cabbage rolls, and cabbage buns were absolutely delicious, we will miss being spoiled with her cooking and baking. She was loving, caring, kind and always put everyone else first. She loved having family and friends around her. She was friends for over 25 years with Judie and enjoyed her Mondays with Marie.
Diane looked forward to spending time at the lake in the summer, visiting with her good friends. She enjoyed her bingo at McPhillips St. Station, and visits on the way home from the lake at South Beach Casino.
The family thanks CancerCare Manitoba, special thanks to Dr. Nason and nurse Pam for all their care, also staff at Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital.
A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
