THERESA KULBABA
After a brief illness - Theresa passed away peacefully on January 27, 2017.
Theresa will be lovingly remembered by son, Ken Kulbaba (Susan), daughter Darcy Hastman (Allen), grandson Chad (Amanda), granddaughter Krystin (Drew) and great granddaughter Emily. She is also survived by nieces Violet Fosty and Bev Bloom, and sister-in-law Sally Bezpalko.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Onofrey, parents Phillip and Anna Muzyka, sisters Mary and Helen and brother John.
Mom was born on September 15, 1917 in Tolstoi. Leaving home at an early age, she moved to Winnipeg and worked at various jobs. Mom and Dad were married on November 17, 1951. After living in several rural communities they moved to Winnipeg in 1967. Mom was widowed in 1980. In her retirement, Mom enjoyed travelling. She was also a long time member of the Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada.
Mom adored her family especially her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. She was a strong determined woman who always had a positive outlook on life. Mom will be missed by everyone who knew her and will always be in our hearts forever. Mom - "Mission Accomplished".
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Victoria General Hospital, Dr. C. Lowden and the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.
Prayers will be said on Tuesday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa's memory to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation.
