Obituary of DIRK VANDENBYLLAARDT

DIRK ADRIANUS VANDENBYLLAARDT On December 2, 2016 at Misericordia Hospital, Dirk Adrianus Vandenbyllaardt went to be with the Lord. Dirk was born on July 6, 1931 in The Hague, Netherlands (Holland) to Albertus and Franscina (nee Middendorp) Vandenbyllaardt. Both passed away before I (Hilda) had even met Dirk. Originally Dirk landed in New York City, on to Montreal, Quebec, Toronto and finally settling in North-West Ontario. Here he bought two plots of 160 acres of land, where he built a home on one and sold the other. Dirk married Mariska, had two children, Michael Alexander and Margit Jessie. Dirk had a steady job at the Dryden Paper Mill working as a Head Operator in the Chemical Plant. They divorced and Dirk married Hildegard (nee Klassen), who also had two children from a first marriage, Robert Henry and Amanda Marie. Dirk, Jr. was born on May 14, 1970, but was killed in an accident on November 6, 1988. Michael was a pilot. He had the misfortune to have been killed in a plane crash 19 years exactly after Dirk, Jr. Margit is married, has two children and three grandchildren. Robert and Amanda were the two children Dirk adopted. Robert married Lenore (nee Ciszeski). They have one daughter, K’laya. Amanda married Darren Single and has one son, Alex Dirk. All family members and friends are welcome to show their respects and offer their condolences at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Since Dirk, Jr. is already buried in the Dryden Cemetery and Dirk, Sr. will be cremated, we will be having the burial of Dirk, Sr. in Dryden on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
