My heart breaks for Ward's family and the many friends and colleagues who adored him.
Although I didn't know Ward on a personal level I had the pleasure of spending a week with him in a Polar Rover in Oct 2015. Ward's humor, kindness, patience, his mad driving skills and that remarkable big smile really added a wonderful dimension to that memorable Churchill week.
I'm so sorry that he is gone.
