Obituary of GARY MELVILLE DAVEY
GARY MELVILLE DAVEY
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son and brother Gary, on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Gary will be forever deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Anne; sister Janice and brother-in-law Gary; brother Gregg and sister-in-law Bunny; nephews, Garrett, Paul, Keith; and nieces, Kira, Ashley and Jalin. Gary was predeceased by his father Mel; his aunt Elsie and aunt Isabelle; and uncle John.
Gary was born in Winnipeg on June 1, 1955 and attended school in East Kildonan. Gary’s great loves were fishing, swimming and “hanging out” at the cottage on Big Whiteshell Lake with his family and his beloved canine companions, Huey and Francie.
Although Gary faced physical challenges over his lifetime, he always rose above them with incredible strength and resiliency. He was a sincerely compassionate, friendly and strong man who touched many hearts and made a life long circle of friends. He was an integral part of our life and we are so very grateful for the time he was with us. We will miss him forever.
A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
